The Cabin Idaho—Idaho Writing Camps
The Cabin is a center for writing and reading, one of only a few dozen such organizations in the country. It is a place to engage the art of language, to meet novelists, poets and essayists, to take a class or workshop honing particular writing skills. It is a place to find one’s voice. The Cabin offers educational programs, presents our nation’s most acclaimed writers in conversation about their work, fosters dialog about issues central to our lives, and supports writers growing into their careers.
Each summer, Idaho Writing Camps offer children and youth in grades 4-12 the opportunity to explore and engage in creative writing adventures—and to become published authors! For the last few years, Creative Soapbox has designed and layed out the brochures and marketing material as well as the book, Words Work Wonders, which contains the various writings from the youth of the summer program.
