Creative Soapbox on the Road: ExpressionEngine Roadshow 2009 Seattle

For most projects that come through our door, ExpressionEngine is the best solution for a content management system. Having developed quite a few sites in ExpressionEngine, we have a solid grasp on EE development and best practices, but with its flexibility comes options. With so many different ways of doing things, we wanted to learn from its creators, users and those who continue to add to its functionality. So we are packing our bags and trekking to Seattle for the ExpresionEngine Roadshow this week.

We are eager to hear talks from expert add-on creators and forum superstars/saviors. It will also be nice to hear how other web companies we respect like Happy Cog and Blue Flavor use EE. We are also excited to hear EllisLab President Leslie Camacho’s speak about “ExpressionEngine 2.0 & The Future of Content Management Systems”. The conference comes at the perfect time, right when we are reworking our workflow and incorporating the version control system GIT into our site development process. And yes, there will be a presentation on this very topic. Learning more about CodeIgniter and delving deeper into EE development, means we can develop sites more efficiently, use EE to its fullest potential and give back by adding our own improvements.
